Semi-solid pharmaceutical dosage forms and suppositories

The manufacture of semi-solid pharmaceutical dosage forms, such as creams, gels, ointments and liposomes, is carried at our production facilities in Feldkirchen and Carugate. Carugate particularly specialises on the manufacture of fat-based and/or paraffin-based formulations, while Feldkirchen specialises on alcohol- and water-based formulations.

The Feldkirchen site offers our customers a high degree of flexibility, with processing facilities for batch sizes ranging from 200 to 1,200 kg. Filling possibilities include cylindrical and conical aluminium tubes, plastic and polyfoil tubes, dispensers, applicators, cups as well as plastic and glass containers.

The Carugate facility manufactures suppositories, packed in aluminium or plastic blister packaging, but also cosmetic products in a special GMP area separate from the pharmaceutical production area. A multitude of camera systems for visual inspection in the packaging area allow the export of many products to countries with very high requirements, e.g. to Japan. As a result of the flexible production equipment, batch sizes in Carugate range from 200 to 1,400 kg.
