Temmler Pharma met the ever increasing demands and growth of the various business areas, in particular contract manufacturing and development, with comprehensive new construction and modernisation measures in its production and laboratory facilities. In the summer of 2004 the staff of the quality control and galenic & analytic development business areas moved into new and highly modern laboratory facilities on spaciously designed premises covering an area of 2,500 square metres.
A new manufacturing plant covering an area of 1,380 square metres with state-of-the-art equipment for bulk production to meet future EU and US-GMP standards was completed following a construction period of just 15 months. After moving the process engineering and production units to the new building and after the successful inspection by our competent RP, commissioning began in the autumn of 2005. During the construction of the new production facilities, extensive modernisation and restructuring measures in the existing production facility were initiated to optimise human resources and material flow as well as possible to meet today's quality requirements. This operation is still going on. However, the company invested not only in buildings but also in new production facilities including a fluidized bed granulator, a container mixer and a blister packaging line. With its considerably extended laboratory and production facilities Temmler Pharma has created new jobs and spare capacities to ensure future growth. |
