Well-thought-out, consistently planned and completely installed and qualified within a record time of just 3.5 days - this is the new line 3 in Bruckmühl. The blister line Noack N 921 with Promatic cartoner PC 4200 was supplied by Romanco group. All machine components are optimally harmonized. Depending on the format, the new blister line is able to produce between 200 and 400 blister packs per minute. The cartoner ejects up to 200 folded boxes per minute. ![]() And, by the way, line 3 is identical to line 5, which was already installed in June 2007 at C.P.M in Bruckmühl, providing essential advantages during operation. If two powerful machines constructed in the same way are operated next to each other, tools can be easily exchanged between both lines in order to reduce capacity bottlenecks in no time at all and to respond to customer requests in a more flexible way. This will also improve the future potentiality to deliver just in time. And it significantly abbreviates training-in of new staff members, because comprehensive experience is already available for C.P.M. with this type of blister line. Furthermore, all technical optimizations of line 5 have already been considered for the new line 3. ![]() Both lines are equipped with state-of-the-art control and eject function (e.g. advanced colour camera system for the control of the content to be filled, control belt scales for weight control etc.) and due to the up-to-date balcony construction meet the requirements to a GMP-based design. They are clearly arranged and therefore easy to clean. Format change can largely be accomplished without any tools. The cartoner is adjusted with the support of servo motors. Basic settings saved for many formats can be automatically selected with the machine control. This provides for considerable reduction of non-productive changeover and cleaning times. Except for PP, both lines can process all established plastic films (e.g. PVC, PVDC, COC, Arclar, Triplex etc.) and also manufacture aluminium-aluminium blisters. Processing of PP foil can be retrofitted on both lines, if required, with reasonable effort. Under the current operating conditions, the new line 3 can produce up to 30 million blister packs per year in three-shift operation. The overall blistering capacity for C.P.M. ContactPharma was increased by the installation of the new blister line to a total of 80 million blister packs per year in three-shift operation. |
