In order to continue to meet our customers’ demands in a more efficient, more flexible and more affordable manner in the long term, a second, identically constructed thermoform machine (CP200) with cartoner P1600 was put into operation at the headquarters in Marburg. With the new packaging line 1, up to overall 80 million blisters a year can now be manufactured in a three shift system. Part of the CP200 concept is a very compact balcony construction with minimal required space. Output amounts to 250 blisters a minute and a cartoner rate of up to 160 folding boxes per minute. With a rapid format manipulating time, the CP200 has been developed specifically for efficient packaging. All tools are quickly changed over due to the rapid tension locks. ![]() A dehumidification of the dosing volume is carried out on both machines using conditioned processed air of <20% RF. It should be emphasised that our employees have over 5 years’ worth of experience in blisters and carton components using a digital two-colour printer from the company CSAT. The printing device can print all current cover films format synchronously. ![]() Along with the standard foil program (aluminium and synthetic aluminium blisters), line 1 was upgraded to include a further feature. PP (polypropylene) foils will also be processed in the future. Due to the ever-increasing customer demands, Line 1 was additionally equipped with a colour camera system for the filler tests, film rupture tests of bottom aluminium films, as well as a clip fastener test and a testing belt weigher. Furthermore, all cameras used for reading the Pharma code, which are one and two dimensional bar codes, were upgraded to 2D Matrix Code. The new Line 1 and the highly qualified packaging team are therefore contributing a considerable increase in capacity and competitive ability in Marburg. |
